Farvater

In short
- Farvater connects through the paths in the catalogues you add: links from your provider or to your own server. NTSAUTOSIGA LLC runs no VPN servers for the app and receives no data from it.
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- Your catalogues and settings stay on your iPhone. Delivery receipts live only in memory unless you export them.
- The app’s core is open source under Apache-2.0: github.com/tsyrenov1987/farvater-core.
Network Extension
Farvater uses iOS’s Network Extension framework (a packet tunnel) to create a VPN on your iPhone and send your apps’ traffic through the paths in your catalogues over their encrypted transports. This is the app’s core function. To route each connection and show its receipt, Farvater reads only the connection’s destination: a host name or an address. It does not read, store or change the content of your traffic, does not inject ads, and does not redirect traffic to make money.
What is sent, and to whom
The addresses you added as catalogues
What: A request for each catalogue over HTTPS, with the app name and core version in the User-Agent header.
Why: To load your paths and refresh them when you connect.
The servers (paths) in your catalogues
What: Your internet traffic, encrypted by the path’s transport.
Why: This is the VPN. Whoever runs those servers decides what happens to traffic there.
The test address your catalogue names or, if it names none, speed.cloudflare.com (Cloudflare, Inc.)
What: A 256 KiB test download through one of your paths each time you connect. It carries no identifiers; the server sees the path’s address, not your device’s.
Why: To prove that data really arrives before Farvater says “connected”.
ya.ru, vk.com and gosuslugi.ru, directly, not through a path
What: Only when none of your paths connects: a lookup of these names and the opening of an encrypted (TLS) connection to each, at most once a minute. The connections are closed right away and nothing else is sent. These sites see your device’s address, as on any visit.
Why: Some mobile networks let through only sites on an allow-list. If these sites answer while your paths stay silent, Farvater knows it is on such a network and tries first the paths that worked there before.
Apple (App Store)
What: If you buy Farvater Pro, the purchase goes through the App Store: Apple handles the payment, and the app only asks the App Store whether Pro is owned.
Why: In-app purchase. We receive no payment details; Apple’s privacy policy applies.
NTSAUTOSIGA LLC does not receive, sell or share any of this, and does not sell, use or disclose to third parties any data from Farvater for any purpose. If you test Farvater in TestFlight or let iOS share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass us crash reports and the feedback you choose to send, under Apple’s privacy policy.
On your iPhone
- Catalogues: the links or texts you added, their titles, the number of paths and when each was last updated, and the last copy of each catalogue that loaded, so the VPN can start when an address doesn’t answer. Kept in the app’s private storage, encrypted by iOS and left out of backups.
- Receipts: for each connection, the destination host, bytes delivered, time to first byte, the path and how it ended. They are kept in memory for the current session and are never written to storage or sent anywhere unless you tap Export: then the app puts them in a file for the share sheet, and you choose where it goes.
- What each path delivered on each network: how often connections through it got through or failed, its speed and when it was last used. A Wi-Fi network is known only by a hash of its router’s address; mobile data counts as one network. Kept in the app’s private storage, left out of backups and forgotten after 7 days without use; it holds no sites you visit and is never sent anywhere.
- Auto-connect rules (Farvater Pro): whether to connect on mobile data and on Wi-Fi, and the names of the Wi-Fi networks you mark as trusted. The app reads the name of the Wi-Fi you are on only when you tap Add the current network. Kept in the app’s settings and in Farvater’s VPN configuration in iOS Settings.
- Widget: whether the VPN is on, since when, and whether Pro is owned, passed to the widget through the iOS keychain on your iPhone.
- Deleting the app removes its files and its VPN configuration; iOS may keep the widget’s keychain entry (the VPN state and whether Pro is owned) until the iPhone is erased.
Children
Farvater is not directed at children under 18. The app collects no personal data from anyone.

Network Extension
Farvater использует системную технологию iOS Network Extension (пакетный туннель), чтобы создать на iPhone VPN и направить трафик ваших приложений через пути из ваших каталогов по их зашифрованным транспортам. Это основная функция приложения. Чтобы направить соединение и показать его квитанцию, Farvater читает только адрес назначения: имя хоста или IP-адрес. Содержимое трафика он не читает, не хранит и не меняет, рекламу не встраивает и трафик ради заработка не перенаправляет.
Что передаётся и кому
Адресам, которые вы добавили как каталоги
Что: Запрос каждого каталога по HTTPS; в заголовке User-Agent — название приложения и версия ядра.
Зачем: Загрузить ваши пути и обновлять их при подключении.
Серверам (путям) из ваших каталогов
Что: Ваш интернет-трафик, зашифрованный транспортом пути.
Зачем: Это и есть VPN. Что происходит с трафиком на этих серверах, решает тот, кто их держит.
Проверочному адресу из каталога, а если его нет — speed.cloudflare.com (Cloudflare, Inc.)
Что: Пробная загрузка 256 КиБ через один из ваших путей при каждом подключении. Идентификаторов в ней нет; сервер видит адрес пути, а не вашего устройства.
Зачем: Доказать, что данные действительно доходят, прежде чем Farvater напишет «подключено».
ya.ru, vk.com и gosuslugi.ru — напрямую, не через путь
Что: Только когда ни один из ваших путей не соединяется: запрос адресов этих имён и начало зашифрованного (TLS) соединения с каждым, не чаще раза в минуту. Соединения сразу закрываются, больше ничего не передаётся. Эти сайты видят адрес вашего устройства, как при любом заходе на них.
Зачем: Некоторые мобильные сети пропускают только сайты из «белого списка». Если эти сайты отвечают, а пути молчат, Farvater понимает, что он в такой сети, и первыми пробует пути, которые там уже работали.
Apple (App Store)
Что: Если вы покупаете Farvater Pro, покупка идёт через App Store: оплату проводит Apple, а приложение только спрашивает у App Store, куплен ли Pro.
Зачем: Встроенная покупка. Платёжных данных мы не получаем; действует политика конфиденциальности Apple.
NTSAUTOSIGA LLC ничего из этого не получает, не продаёт и не передаёт и ни для каких целей не продаёт, не использует и не раскрывает третьим лицам никакие данные из Farvater. Если вы тестируете Farvater в TestFlight или разрешили iOS делиться аналитикой с разработчиками, Apple может передавать нам отчёты о сбоях и отзывы, которые вы сами отправите, по правилам политики Apple.
На вашем iPhone
- Каталоги: добавленные вами ссылки или тексты, их названия, число путей и время последнего обновления, а также последняя загрузившаяся копия каждого каталога, чтобы VPN запускался, когда адрес не отвечает. Хранятся в закрытом хранилище приложения, зашифрованы iOS и не попадают в резервные копии.
- Квитанции: для каждого соединения — хост назначения, сколько доставлено, время до первого байта, путь и чем соединение кончилось. Они хранятся в памяти только в течение сеанса, не записываются на диск и никуда не отправляются, пока вы не нажмёте «Экспорт»: тогда приложение кладёт их в файл для меню «Поделиться», и куда он уйдёт, решаете вы.
- Что каждый путь доставлял в каждой сети: как часто соединения через него доходили или срывались, его скорость и когда он работал последний раз. Wi-Fi узнаётся только по хешу адреса роутера, мобильный интернет считается одной сетью. Хранится в закрытом хранилище приложения вне резервных копий и забывается через 7 дней без использования; сайтов, которые вы открываете, там нет, и никуда это не отправляется.
- Правила автоподключения (Farvater Pro): включаться ли на мобильном интернете и на Wi-Fi, и имена сетей Wi-Fi, которые вы отметили как доверенные. Имя сети, к которой вы подключены, приложение читает, только когда вы нажимаете «Добавить текущую сеть». Хранятся в настройках приложения и в VPN-конфигурации Farvater в настройках iOS.
- Виджет: включён ли VPN, с какого времени и куплен ли Pro — передаётся виджету через связку ключей iOS на вашем iPhone.
- Удаление приложения стирает его файлы и VPN-конфигурацию; запись виджета в связке ключей (состояние VPN и куплен ли Pro) iOS может хранить до стирания iPhone.
Дети
Farvater не предназначен для детей младше 18 лет. Приложение ни у кого не собирает персональные данные.
