Canasta is one of the great partnership card games: two teams, two decks, melds of the same rank and the race to build canastas. We rebuilt it for iPhone and Android with the rules people actually play at home, a partner who behaves like a real partner, and a retrowave story that gives every table a reason.
Four ways to play
- Fast 2 vs 2 — 11 cards, one canasta to go out, games to 3,000. The default, made for a phone session.
- Modern American Canasta — wild cards limited, sevens and aces, every three laid down, the bonus draw.
- Classic Canasta for 2 or 4 players.
- Hand & Foot — the house-party favorite with a hand and a foot.
House rules are part of the game: change the target score, the frozen pile or how many canastas it takes to go out.
Story mode: Neon Nights
Neon Bay, 1986. Someone from the future is erasing the city's neon, sign by sign. You team up with your partner Vince and win six tables against the town's characters to bring the lights back. Every chapter opens with a short retro cutscene, and each one unlocks after you win the one before it.
Online with friends
- Share a code to sit down with friends; empty seats get bots.
- Quick match with players of your level.
- Talk at the table with voice, and turn on the camera if you like. Nothing is recorded.
- Mute anyone with one tap.
Smart bots, offline
The bots see only their own cards — no peeking. Your partner asks before going out, just like at a real table. The whole game works without internet.
Easy to learn
A short interactive lesson shows melds, canastas and the pile. “What happened?” explains every bot move in plain words. The cards are big and readable, with full VoiceOver and TalkBack support.
Fair and calm
No ads, no coins, no energy. The whole game is free to play. The Canasta Club is a single one-time purchase that adds four tables, six card backs and detailed stats.
